Home Inspection - Once you've picked your new Maui home, a professional inspector may be hired to examine the property. This examination will provide you with a thorough analysis of the property's condition, and will help to identify any trouble spots before you complete your purchase.
Insurance - If you are obtaining a mortgage for your new Maui property, you will likely need to provide your mortgage company with documents such as proof of title, home owners insurance, title insurance, etc. Work with your Jim Sanders Realty Maui real estate representative for details on obtaining these and any other required documents.
Final Walk Through - Before collecting the keys to your new Maui home, have your Jim Sanders Realty agent give you one more tour of the property. This will allow you to insure that any items (such as furnishings) which were agreed upon to be provided with the sale, are still intact. You will also be able to inspect the home for any recent damages or defects not originally apparent to your home inspector, or agreed upon during the initial sales phase. If there are any problem areas, your agent will be able to assist you in coming to an agreement with the seller over the disputed issues (sometimes in the form of a discount or credit at the time of closing.)
The Closing - The day is at hand, just a few final details to complete your purchase and you will own your very own piece of Maui real estate! Congratulations! |
