Great fun and educational events are taking place in the month of April
March 28, 2008 | The final days of Art Maui 2008 are taking place from now until April 6th; well worth the drive from your Upcountry Maui home or South Maui condo, Art Maui showcases the wonderful talents of Maui's premier established and upcoming artists showing their best work in a variety of mediums; from oils to clay, installations and more! Hurry over to the Maui Arts and Cultural Center and check out this FREE exhibition before it closes!
On April 4th, two fun filled events will be taking place in Central Maui: the Visionary Artists Showcase and Networking Event at Maui Mall, and Wailuku Town's monthly First Friday Event. Running from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in downtown Wailuku, this months First Friday "Maui Street Party" will feature great local music and Hula performances, art exhibits, and great food and products at special First Friday discounts all along Main Street!
After some fun in Wailuku, head down to the Lighthouse Maui Cafe at Maui Mall (from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) and enjoy the Visionary Artists Showcase and Networking Event; an exhibit of wonderful artworks presented digitally on the artists laptops. Best of all, you can bring in your own creations to display while meeting other great artists!
A very special event will take place April 12th to the 13th: The Jim Sanders Realty Maui Women's Golf Tournament! A 36 hole, gross play competition taking place at 7:30 a.m. at the Maui Country Club April 12th, and 7:00 a.m. at the Pukalani Country Club April 13th. Finally, at 7:30 p.m. on April 19th, enjoys the local styling of Hapa at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center's Castle Theater. Sonorous pan Polynesian sounds combine with world wide contemporary influences to create a Hawaiian music experience like no other! Definitely a performance not to be missed!
Hard as it may be to take a break from your home in Haiku or condo in Wailea, be sure to get out if just for a bit and take in these fun events in April! |
