Hawaii Well Ranked in Foreclosure Rates
State ranks 45th in filings nationwide

While rising foreclosure rates are an unfortunate side effect of the current economic climate, the Hawaii real estate market is showing a much welcome resistance to nationwide market trends. Much like our real estate prices, foreclosures in the state of Hawaii have in general stayed steady, sometimes even decreasing in the last few months. For example, during the month of March there were 120 filings, reflecting a 16% DROP in filings from the month prior, helping Hawaii place in the bottom 5 states in foreclosure filings. This is a very good trend we hope to see continue in the months to come.
