Pacific Biodiesel has just recently been named a recipient of a new State of Hawaii innovation award. This award aims to give recognition to those people and business utilizing their "ingenuity and commitment to developing creative ways to improve Hawaii and help the state meet the challenges of the 21st century." As their name suggests, Pacific Biodiesel aims to improve the quality of life for people not just in Hawaii, but worldwide by researching and producing a renewable fuel resource in biodiesel. Biodiesel is a clean burning diesel fuel substitute, made from the conversion of natural fats and oils into a fuel substance.
