Chefs on the Beach Maui Fundraising Event

Presented by the Rotary Club of Maui, the second annual "Chefs on the Beach" fundraising event is drawing near. This benefit will support several worthy Maui non-profit organizations that work to improve the lives and well being of our Maui Ohana. A spirit of cooperation and support for the community is emphasized as the health of the less fortunate effects us all.

The following are organizations that will be supported by this event:

Maui Youth and Family Services - Aloha House - Imua Family Services

Friends of the Children's Justice Center of Maui -- Maui Family Support Services

Maui's American Heart Association - Maui’s American Cancer Society,

Women Helping Women - Maui Academy of Performing Arts

The restaurants that will be included in the event are:

Roy's - The Waterfront - Saigon Café, - Maa'Lea Grill - Molokini Grill at the Maui Prince Kauiki at Hotel Hana Maui - Bentos & Banquets by Bernard

Bridget & Bernard's Garden Café - Fresh Maui Chef - Café Marc Aurel

The Wines - A selection of twelve quality wines is being donated by Hawaii Liquor Super Store's Ali Biglar

The enertainment will include:

Sal Godinez & "Lat. 21˚ N" - Rich Tom & Mele Fong "The Hawaii Seranaders"

Jim Howlett & Rudy Esquer "Moon Dance" – Wesley Furamoto & "Maui KilaKila"

The event will be an elegant but casual afternoon "Chef's Festival" at Joe Sugarman's Honua Kai Lani beach estate in Makena on May 30th from 2-6pm. In a great demonstration of generosity, Mr. Sugarman has donated the use of his property for the event.

Aside from the food and entertainment, there will be a silent auction including donations from the International Rotary Clubs, golf, helicopter rides, fine jewelry, as well as restaurant and hotel gift certificates. The proceeds will go to great local causes, the sponsors will be honored for their support, and the attendees will have a great time. There is a limit of 300 people for the event and the price will be $60 per person.
