Benefit for Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project

On September 12th, the Maui Brewing Company in Lahaina will be hosting a benefit night for the Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project. They will be serving beer and pizza with a percentage of the profits from pints and their pizza special going to the MFBRP to aid in conservation efforts for Maui's native birds.
The MFBRP has been doing excellent work in conservation efforts for Maui's birds since 1997. They involve themselves in everything from avian conservation to landscape analysis and habitat restoration. They are strongly dedicated to the conservation and research of the species that are endangered or that lay on the brink of extinction.
If you take a look at the MFBRP website you can explore a wealth of good information on each of the Maui forest birds of highest concern as well as conservation approaches, the research that MFBRP has performed and habitat information for the birds that they study.
Saturday's benefit will provide live music from 9:30p.m. to midnight. The biologists from the MFBRG will be there, so if you are interested in the kind of work they do, it may be a great opportunity to talk to them about their efforts.
