First Annual Rise Up Music Festival in Kahului
SkyHI Productions is presenting Maui's 1st Annual Rise Up Music Festival featuring The Wailers along with special guests Third World. The fest is centered around roots reggae, so if you're a fan you may want to consider attending.
Together with Bob Marley, the Wailers have sold over 250 million albums worldwide. Elan Attias is the new lead singer and very good things are said about the new energy he's brought to the group. There will be other up-and-coming local performers at this concert.
Tickets are $35-$40 and you can get them at the MACC, Old Lahaina Book Emporium, Green Banana Internet Café in Paia and at Request Music in Wailuku. The fest will be held at the MACC and the gates open at 5p.m. on October 17th. The show starts at 6p.m.
This festival is going to be one of those expected to really draw a crowd. If you haven't seen it yet, you can check out The Wailers' website at www.wailers.com. It's fresh, informative and fun to navigate.
