Continuous Maui North Shore High Surf Advisories

It's been quite a show between the continuous high surf all along the North Shore of Maui and the monstrous waves breaking at Pe'ahi (popularly known as Jaws) last month. All this impressive surf seems an appropriate opener for the beginning of a new decade.

Pe'ahi was breaking between 40-50 feet last month and high surf advisories have become rather common in the past couple of weeks. North Shore Maui is truly a heaven for surfers, or at least the more adventurous ones, under conditions like these. For the us onlookers as well, the majestic waves are something to behold and seem to lend a special feeling to our lovely North Shore.

Waves were around 25-35 feet this past Tuesday thanks to a north-pacific storm that blew some swell our way. Just about all the islands felt its effects.

Hopefully the unfolding of the coming year will be as enjoyable to observe as the marvels that nature has sent our way.
