Maui Pops Orchestra Performance

The Maui Pops Orchestra will be performing "Music from Around the World" at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on the 24th of this month.

The Maui Pops has put on some really great concerts in the past, with all kinds of entertaining themes and outstanding music. This intercultural feature is right in line with their excellent history of entertainment. The performance includes musical themes from Germany, Russia, Hungary, Japan and America, with a little bit of Maui in there as well.

It should be interesting to see how they integrate such diverse sounds from extremely different musical cultures. With music director James Durham leading the orchestra, expectations are high. This is an all-orchestral concert and it's a great opportunity to get an inside view into music as a contributor to cultural expression.

The performance is at 3:30p.m. It should be an enjoyable experience for a broad age range. Seeing as the Maui Pops Orchestra is a non-profit, donations are always welcome and are necessary for them to continue their inspiring work.
